“Making money online” – the most searched keyword on Google that still creates headaches, struggles, and overwhelm.
And what comes associated with it is “Affiliate Marketing” – which most of us believe is so easy, but reality kicks in and kills this dream.
Affiliate Marketing is nothing more than promoting other people’s products in exchange for a commission.
The hardest part here is to make a sale. And the question is, “How do I make that sale?”. To make a sale you must find your buyer’s need and offer the product as a solution. And BOOM! That’s all!
But this is easier said than done. You need some tools and some skills to pull this off. I know that there are people out there telling you that:
- You don’t need a product – which is true
- You don’t need any kind of experience – false
- You don’t need any technical skills – false
- You don’t need marketing skills – also false
First of all, you need to prepare yourself. The best way to do that is by watching some tutorials on YouTube and you are all set.
Then start your first blog, and don’t overthink this or else you will get overwhelmed by the process.
Questions like: How do I set my blog? What am I going to blog about? Will this work? will pop up in your head and it will overwhelm you.
Just get started!!! Take me as an example, I post randomly without searching for keywords, doing SEO and wasting time over the aspect of my blog. It is what it is!
But I put the time and effort into creating content. This content will be found by others, who will not read word by word (I’m aware of that) but they will scroll it in curiosity.
Which is my next point! If you want to make money online through affiliate marketing, start stirring curiosity, then place your link at the end and the sales will come.
I started me “make money online” journey buying technical courses. And I never regret that. Every course that I bought was useful.
How to start a blog, how to write a blog post, how to create ads & funnels, and so on. The only unsolved problem remains “how to get traffic“.
That is something that I don’t know how to do yet, but I don’t waste time struggling. I post my content as usual and that’s it. People will come.
No tweaks, no mumbo-jumbo, and no mumbling on this topic. But I see other people wasting so much time on this and they are losing the focus on the client and on the sale.
It doesn’t matter if the website/blog doesn’t look “shiny“. What matters is that you got it started. Wasting time on “what theme should I use” or “what topic should I talk about” it’s a time killer.
Just hit the “new post” button and start writing. You will see how the inspiration will come and you will end up with a great post from scratch.
Not starting is the worst thing you can do. Trust yourself. We all have something of “value” to offer. Market yourself.
You don’t have to create reviews or to go “with the trend” just because “it works”. I’m telling you, I tried that before, but all it did is that it killed my originality.
I started a lot of blogs in the past, trying to tweak them to look nice and dandy, wasting money on tools and themes, all for nothing.
But after that I asked myself: Why do I waste so much time focusing on the “shiny” part and not on “the meat”?
Until I started this blog, and I see it as a journey. Do the same! Start your own affiliate journey and sales will come. Not now, but in a few years you will be great.
Stop wasting your time trying to fill your head with so much information and do more practice. That would be my advice for you if you want to make a sale.
Focus on empathizing more with your readers and the results will show up. That would be all.
